Hello, my name is Athene Richford! I grew up on the south coast of England and now live with my family in Glasgow. I have a PhD in law from the University of Glasgow and continue to conduct my own research in the area of international economic law, whilst teaching on various university law courses. I also hold an undergraduate degree in social anthropology and postgraduate degrees in law and criminology. As well as many years of teaching experience in Higher Education, I have experience of academic publishing and have published some of my own work. I have worked as an editor on academic texts and as a journal editor. For the past five years I have been an academic supervisor for postgraduate students undertaking their 12,000 word dissertation; covering a wide range of subject matter I have helped those students, both native English speakers and foreign language students, to successfully research and write their Master’s dissertations. I have also written professional reports and content for websites (not just this one!). When I have time I also like to try my hand at writing prose. I love the creativity of written English and take great pleasure in working with words.

I’m excited to hear about your project and help you with it, whether you are just getting started or finished, and looking for some final refinements, get in touch with me and see how I can assist you.
